When students graduate from high school and enter into post secondary education (i.e. colleges and university's). This signifies the beginning of the next chapter of their lives. College freshmen have a challenging time transitioning from a mindset of a high school student to that of what is required in a higher education environment. According to

kelci lynn lucier advice. She states that college students can balance out everything

by:

- Managing academic time: Which means, in college, all students have many things to do. Therefore, academic life should always come first. Always plan out each day of each week. Try to study for an hour or longer.

- Balancing health: In college, students tend to have a big schedule. One of the first things to go is sleep. Lack of sleep is more harmful than some may think. It can throw everything out of proportion such as : mental health, physical health, stress level, and, of course, school schedule. If a student is constantly working at a berserk pace, especially when sleep is not on their mind, it will soon catch up with them . Students should observe some time in the conception every week of every month to plan out their homework, social time, personal time and sleep.

- Managing personal time: An irrational assumption is something that students do, like having a full time job, going to school, and studying everyday. Students need realize that their brain needs a break. College is not all about education, its also about getting to know new people, being in extracurricular actives, and having fun.

When organizing a calendar always leave some time to hang out with friends. But make sure there is a start and stop time.

Furthermore, time management is not an ability that is learned instantly, it takes time to learn and master it. The human body needs to get use to the college environment.
